Acupuncture.

Acupuncture provides a holistic, drug-free approach that can enhance healing and improve well-being.

A Natural Solution.

We know that every animal is unique, and their care should reflect that individuality. For pets in Lake Country, where the outdoor lifestyle often brings its fair share of aches, pains, and injuries, acupuncture can be a life-changing treatment. Whether your friend is a senior dog dealing with arthritis or a cat recovering from an injury, acupuncture can be a useful tool in helping your companion get back to living the Okanagan lifestyle, pain-free.

Boosting Wellness and Recovery.

Acupuncture is more than just a trend – it’s a time-tested therapy used for thousands of years to support the body’s ability to heal itself. By targeting specific points along the body’s meridian system with fine needles, acupuncture stimulates nerves, muscles, and connective tissues. This process helps release endorphins and promotes blood flow, reducing inflammation and pain, while enhancing recovery.

For many animals (and people!) in our area, acupuncture is an effective way to manage chronic pain from conditions like arthritis, hip dysplasia, or even past injuries. We’re committed to providing a holistic approach to animal care, and acupuncture is a vital part of our toolkit to support overall health.

How Can Acupuncture Help?

Acupuncture offers a wide range of benefits, and many families are surprised to see their pets walking more easily, resting more peacefully, and even getting a little spring back in their step – all without adding new medications. It’s a supportive option that helps your pet feel better and stay active, especially as they age or recover from injury.

Pain Relief

Acupuncture works by stimulating the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals within the body, providing relief without relying on medications.

Improved Mobility

For animals suffering from joint pain, acupuncture can significantly improve mobility, allowing them to move more freely and comfortably.

What to Expect During an Acupuncture Session.

At Panorama Veterinary Services, we take the time to understand the unique needs of every furry companion we treat. During the acupuncture session, specific acupuncture points will be selected. These needles are very thin, and most animals feel little to no discomfort during the procedure. Many of our patients actually relax during their sessions, and some even fall asleep!

Each acupuncture treatment typically lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the condition and tolerance level of your four-legged friend. We usually recommend a series of treatments to achieve optimal results, though improvement is sometimes seen after just one session. We will always discuss the treatment plan with you so that you feel informed and comfortable every step of the way.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Absolutely. Acupuncture is a safe and well-tolerated procedure when performed by trained professionals. Our veterinary team is specially trained in acupuncture and always ensures that your best friend is comfortable and well-cared for throughout the treatment process. We’re here to ensure the experience is as positive as possible.
